Bicycling & Fitness
Since bicycling works the larger leg and buttocks muscles it is a great core fitness sport. Of course it’s also one of the best aerobic exercises you can do; it’s low-impact and can be done most anywhere.
Please note: my training offerings are not oriented to those interested in competitive cycling. There are a number of local and web-based resources for that type of training.
Some people worry that cycling will give them “big legs.” That’s only an issue with competitive cyclists. Cycling will actually slim your legs if they have some extra fat on them, and give them great (but not excessive) muscle definition.
While I don’t do competition-related training, I can help you get to a level where you can feel comfortable joining faster club rides or signing up for longer distance events, such as MS 150 rides (150 miles in two days).
