Bicycling is Better

Expert Advice for Central Florida Bicycle Users

Playing in Traffic

Perhaps you’re at the stage right now where you can’t imagine sharing the streets with cars; you’d rather stick to the trails or your neighborhood streets.  That’s OK!  But sooner or later you may find that you’re tired of loading the bike on the back of the car to go ride, or you want to ride to the store or to visit a friend.  Or perhaps you’re a cyclist confident riding in groups and on rural roads and wish to add some functional cycling to your life, but find urban riding daunting.  That’s when you’ll need to learn the principles and skills of Vehicular Cycling.

Solo urban and suburban bicycling is actually a very safe activity if you adhere to some key principles and learn a few key skills, and after some time getting used to this activity you’ll probably even find it as enjoyable as your recreational cycling.

Through both “classroom” and on-bike training, you will learn the principles and skills for cycling safely in traffic; learn how crashes really happen and how to avoid them.
